House of Yon was created by Nicholas Yon.

Trained by seasoned professionals in 1981, he served at  Royal Ascot  and Newbury race courses for several years, where the standard of service excels.

That’s experience and know how that will make all the difference to your event or small gathering.

He knows what is required in the ever demanding world of Hospitality.

He travelled the world working on board the QE11 for Cunard before settling
in London for ten years serving for Londons finest caterers.
Nicholas says,
“If you think we have met before, we probably have.
If not, we probably should.”

Attending to pampered pop stars at the Brit Awards 1995 to flying to Ireland to serve at Victoria and David Beckhams’ wedding.
It was whilst helping run the outdoor catering Beeton Rumford for Hospitality icons Andy Hardy & Kate Woollard at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, with contracts including the (Royal Palaces, City of London and The Foreign Office) owned by Lord Sterling of Plaistow GCVO CBE (then of P&O)
(sadly not there anymore) that he met Stevie McMahon.
They went on to organise fine dining on a grand scale such as ;
The Lord Mayors Banquet at The Guildhall
Butler services at the City of Londons’ finest Livery Halls.
Corporate Hospitality at Farnborough Air-Show to the opening Banquet of the Queens House Art Gallery at Greenwich with HM The Queen in attendance.
Stevie serves and hosts at equestrian and other events at Windsor castle through out the year and other clients in the USA.
Both have served all over the globe.
Nicholas is now based in his home town of Reading in Berkshire, where he continues to work for top contract caterers at events such as Royal Ascot – Henley Royal Regatta – The Epsom Derby and The Grand National.
While he still enjoys working in Hospitality he is also concentrating on finishing his book which he started quite a while ago but has not put himself under any pressure to finish it except by 2025!
He says ” I found trying to go back and remember , basically over 43 years of my life was quite a task so I do it in small bits every now and then, though I do need to get on with it now!”
He is also working on a new Cushion range which will feature prints on that he himself has drawn over the years plus is working on an idea for Podcasts.
“As I get older I feel that there are other avenues I would like to persue and House of Yon will see the fruition of my creative ideas and interests” Nicholas says.
“Music has always been a big part of my life and in the family, my dad and sister had a band when I was growing up and I eventually joined as bass guitarist and backing vocals, nowadays my sisters’ daughter Amy Yon carries the musical flame and there is a lot of anticipation for her debut album which is nearing completion”
Though under no major label pressure, as an independent artist Amy has co – founded her own label www.foxlanemusic.com and we look forward to a future podcast and sneak peak of her album in the near future!
